Thank you for continuing to trust Fifth Avenue Dental Arts with your oral health needs. While we have always taken extraordinary precautions to keep our team and patients safe, we have been hard at work these last few months updating protocols in response to COVID-19. We continue to follow all guidelines from the CDC and ADA to ensure both our patients and staff are healthy and comfortable.
At Fifth Avenue Dental Arts, your doctors and team’s top priority is your safety to help stop the spread of Covid-19. We are taking careful precautionary steps to ensure we are following CDC guidelines to provide a comfortable, yet safe and healthy environment for all our patients and staff. You can expect certain changes when you come for your dental visit.
Covid-19 Social Distancing
We request that when you arrive for your dental visit to wait inside your cars until your dental suite is ready. We are working to reduce the amount of people in the office at all times. Please call our office to inform us of your arrival and we will promptly let you know when you can enter the office. Our social distancing methods are helping keep you and others safe to prevent the spread of any infection.
No one may accompany the patient inside the clinic except for instances where the patient requires assistance (pediatric patients, people with special needs, elderly patients).
You may also notice adjustments to our office like staggered dental appointments, waiting seat chairs set apart and the removal of any commonly touched items like magazines.
Personal Protective Equipment
Our team at Fifth Avenue Dental Arts has always worn some type of personal protective equipment (PPE) for patient safety, but you may notice that our staff is adhering to even stricter guidelines. You may see more patient gowns, eye shields and protection, glass barriers, and several types of KN-95 and N-95 masks on our dental team.
We also require any patient that enters the office to be wearing a face mask at all times unless they are receiving active treatment.
Office Infection Control
We conveniently have hand sanitizer available for all patients throughout the office to help reduce the spread of Covid-19 and other illnesses throughout the pandemic.
Our office has also taken the initiative to install:
- Medical grade HEPA air filters
- Increased cleaning and sanitization, with new and improved safer and more effective disinfectants
- Advanced suction devices for maximum dental aerosol reduction.
- Easily accessible hand washing stations for before and after appointments.
Other Covid-19 considerations
The Fifth Avenue Dental Arts team is taking every step to ensure your safety during your dental visit. Please be cautious and advise our office if you are recently experiencing any Covid-19 symptoms or have been in contact with anyone who has tested positive. You will need to reschedule your appointment.
Patients will be required to complete a Covid-19 screening and have a contactless temperature taken at check-in.
With the combination of personal protective equipment, Covid-19 screenings, social distancing and environmental protections, we feel that we are providing the safest place to maintain your oral health and bright smiles.
